DPIDG/UNPOG participated in the First International Workshop on Disasters and Public Policy in Mexico, hosted by the School of Government and Public Transformation at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, as a panelist in the session onthe Future of Public Policy and Disaster Risk Reduction. The panel explored the integration of disaster risk management into public policy and its connection to sustainable development.
DPIDG/UNPOG highlighted the role of strategic foresight and transformational leadership in strengthening public institutions to advance sustainable development and build resilience. Aimed at policymakers and academics in Mexico, the workshop provided practical tools and knowledge for managing disaster risks through a comprehensive, forward-looking policy approach.
